A simplistic example would be that because here in South Africa we live in a generally sunnier climate our colour choices would tend to be cooler ones than the warm, fiery tones that those who live in colder climates might choose.
Based on that, therefore, the winter paint colours of 2023 will reflect our changing landscape and moods. So, we have compiled a short list of some of the colours that we believe will be popular in 2023, based on some of the colours that we will most likely have available to us…
A time of transition
They say when we are going through times of change and transition, as we are now following the COVID-19 pandemic, the mood tends to be one that strives for more calm and peaceful tones. There is a tendency to work more from home now too so the colours we use in our home offices also need to express calm and help us to alleviate stress.
For the first time, we personally have the opportunity to colour our workplaces if we work from home so the general trend is to look at colours like light blues, dark blues and greys like Lagoon Mirror, Geneve Morn and Ocean Melody respectively.
