For homes nestled amid lush green landscaping try a rich chocolaty brown, while warm reddish brown tones look great on homes in more arid climates.’’
Exterior renovation ideas for 2023
The most popular renovation idea for 2023 is to add an outdoor ‘hang-out’ space that adjoins the existing home and is designed in such a way that it can be converted in Winter to a useful office or Winter entertainment area.
Essentially this means it needs to be an indoor space that invites the outdoors in and has sliding doors and shutters that eliminate too much harsh sunlight in Summer, but maximise it to be an energy-saving room in Winter.
There is also a massive global trend towards simple outdoor décor ideas like laying wooden decking from the home to the pool area (particularly useful if you don’t want to spend too much time in the garden or have limited space) and attractive outdoor water features whether you have a pool or not.
